The
Lodge is a renovated Historical Church
(circa 1923) that was originally moved from a mining community.
It has been completely refurbished inside with natural NZ timbers
that are now protected from felling... Kauri, Rimu etc. Much of
the traditional decor has been restored, such as the stained glass
windows. An upstairs loft has been added and the Church can now
sleep 7+ people quite comfortably. |

Stained Glass Window

High cathedral ceilings and rich natural timbers make this Lodge
a wonderful retreat for those who wish to explore and experience
a wide range of West Coast outdoor activities.

Weka NZ flightless bird and cheeky resident of the lodge.

The Lodge is especially alluring to anglers hunting that trophy
fish. Lake Poerua and surrounding rivers, spring creeks and lakes
are abundant with brown trout.
